Artists’ Reception
On Saturday evening of each Stockley Gardens Arts Festival, we host an artists’ reception with live music on the main stage. The party takes place immediately after the show ends for the day (5:00 - 7:00 p.m.). This reception is free and open to the public. We encourage the festival artists to attend, along with sponsors, volunteers, and the community at large. Midway through the reception, the Festival judge announces the award winners and distributes prizes.
In addition to live music provided by talented musicians, food vendors remain open for the reception, and beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages are available. This rockin’ outdoor party provides a great chance to have fun and mingle with both patrons and artists.
Norfolk's very own School of Rock House Band will be performing at the artist's reception. They are a young group of rockers who know how to perform. Their repertoire includes timeless classic rock as well as current rock, pop, and country rock hits. At School of Rock, students enjoy a supportive and motivating environment in which to learn. The team dynamic of group rehearsals and performances makes it fun to practice and allows kids to become more invested in the music learning process. School of Rock is located at 430 Boush Street in Downtown Norfolk. Check us out at www.schoolofrock.com or call us at 757-961-ROCN.
