Part Time Direct Care Support Staff
Hope House Foundation is currently accepting applications for part-time direct care support staff. The support staff position is rewarding, challenging, and fun! There are 12 different service teams. We are looking for professional people willing to go the extra mile with a friendly demeanor and caring heart.
Hope House Foundation is currently hiring part-time employees to work evenings and weekends. Our support staff work directly with the people receiving services assisting with all activities of daily living. Support staff assist individuals with preparing their meals, maintaining their apartments, completing laundry, medical appointments, recreation and socialization, personal hygiene and any other tasks that the individuals may desire assistance. Support staff are matched with a specific location/ team and develop a regular schedule with their supervisor. A one year commitment is preferred. Support staff must be able to work a minimum of two shifts per week plus attend a monthly team meeting. The schedule is: Evenings & Weekends 4p-10p
The hourly rate for this position is $10.05.

Hope House Foundation is seeking a Service Coordinator in the Ghent neighborhood of Norfolk. The Service Coordinator is responsible for coordinating individualized plans & services, managing budgets, and overseeing medical care for individuals living in their own apartments. The service coordinator schedules, transports, and supports individuals in medical appointments. The service coordinator must be focused and detail oriented in their approach to their work. The service coordinator writes the service plans and develops training/essential lifestyle goals with individuals. It's a busy, diverse, and interesting job! The agency thoroughly prepares and trains new employees to complete the tasks of a service coordinator. Key Qualifications: Exceptional time management & organizational skills Computer Skills (Microsoft Word, Excel) Money management skills (bank accounts, stretching a dollar, etc) Understanding of basic concepts for shaping behaviors Good writing skills & effective verbal communication Ability to advocate for/with individuals w/ medical community, families, and outside agencies.
The schedule is: Monday through Friday 7a-3p flexibility required.
