Internships

Need to complete an internship for school? Hope House may be the perfect match with flexible hours, services in four cities, competent supervision, and opportunity to work with individuals who have a variety of abilities and support needs, including mental health needs. Intern Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license
• Willing to work late afternoons/early evenings and one weekend day
• Willing to get a TB test
• Participate in an interview & provide two professional or academic references

• Be able to climb stairs, assist with lifting, come into contact with pets, and be exposed to some cigarette smoke. (It would be possible to match an intern with individuals who do not smoke).
• Be open to interacting with individuals with a mental health diagnosis and who may exhibit challenging behaviors.
• Be open to interacting with individuals who need assistance with their personal hygiene.
