Before this year comes to a close we wanted to reach out to thank you for your generous assistance to Hope House Foundation and remind you of all the good it does for those we support. 2016 was another great year for our organization, which really means that we were again successful in helping so many adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities experience a life with choices and connection to the community.

Over our more than 50 years of service we never cease to be amazed by the number of people who come forward with a true commitment to us, nor the level to which they give. We want to assure you that we never take one donated penny or hour of time for granted.

More than simply asking for money through this year’s season-ending campaign, HELP = HOPE, we would also like to show you that your donation goes to some specific and vital uses. Money raised allows us to help with unmet medical needs, dental care, food, furnishings and rent. We will also be able to provide ancillary needs that actually help individuals enjoy the freedoms and opportunities you and I take for granted every day. Today Hope House supports 125 people. Our ability to provide valuable services and amenities has grown well beyond simply providing an alternative to an institutionalization or group home. None of it would be possible without your generosity. As you well know the financial challenges facing not-for-profit organizations never go away and costs always seem to rise.

We know that our thanks are just words, but they are heartfelt. To truly understand what your continued generosity means, you just have to look at your own life. Having modest choices, new opportunities and support to live in a home of your own is what we offer to people with disabilities. Inclusion in our neighborhoods, communities and personal lives is truly the greatest gift of all. Please consider an end-of-year donation. We can assure you it will go to good use.
