Fall Stockley Gardens

Fall Stockley Gardens Arts Festival

Virtual Stockley Gardens Fall Arts Festival

The Stockley Gardens Arts Festival has been a biannual staple in the Hampton Roads area for the past 36 years, as well as being Hope House Foundation’s biggest fundraiser. The money raised during these events helps pay for rent, transportation, food, furnishings, unmet medical care, and more for people with developmental disabilities in Norfolk, Chesapeake, and Virginia Beach. Stockley is a communal celebration, a beloved tradition that has remained constant over the years, withstanding recessions, weather, hurricanes, and now COVID-19.

In these remarkable global pandemic times, in-person events have all but ceased to exist. Cancellations are the common refrain. However, we have decided to be the exception and forge ahead, inspired by the dedication and commitment of the essential, direct support workforce at Hope House Foundation. These frontline heroes continue to keep the over 125 people served by Hope House safe, happy and healthy throughout these uncertain times. They, much like our Stockley artists, are utilizing their creativity and talents to make the world a more beautiful and inclusive place.

Hope House Foundation and SGAF share the ethos of being community focused first and foremost, so we simply cannot sit by and wait until 2021 to hold a festival. While we may not be able to physically meet you “at the park”, we are hoping to recreate as many elements as possible through a virtual event. This means, we need YOU to create the crowd. There will still be top-notch artists, groovy music, sponsor shout outs, and plenty of nostalgia. But this time around, footsteps and hands-on browsing are out, socially distant clicks, comments and shares are in.

We're proud to give the community one of the best outdoor arts festivals in the area. In fact, the Stockley Gardens Arts Festival has been voted one of the top two art festivals in eastern Virginia by Virginia Living Magazine readers five years in a row, so don't miss the upcoming Stockley Gardens Arts Festival coming to you live from your computer or phone screen. It's a good time for a great cause.
