Truck Driver Part-Time

Hope House Foundation is currently accepting applications for a part-time truck driver for its Thrift Store in Norfolk. Hope House is a non-profit agency that provides residential services to adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities. The thrift store employs approximately 6 staff. Unlike other thrift shops, 100% of the revenue of the HHF thrift store supports the people receiving services from Hope House.

Truck Driver, part-time: Hope House Foundation, a non-profit serving adults with developmental disabilities, is seeking a part-time, flexible, customer-oriented individual to fill a truck driver position at the Thrift Store located in Norfolk. Duties include: drive truck to perform pickups of donated items and/or deliveries of purchases; move heavy items(couches, desks, etc.); work in tight areas (stairwells);sort and price merchandise; assist with cleaning tasks. Must have a pleasant attitude and good customer service skills. Must be neat and clean in appearance. Must have valid Virginia driver's license and a satisfactory driving record. Must have a clean criminal history record. Two professional references are required.

The schedule is: Tuesday & Saturday 10am 6pm and Monday 10am 2pm

Part Time Direct Support Professional

Hope House Foundation is currently accepting applications for part-time direct care support staff. The support staff position is rewarding, challenging, and fun! We are looking for professional people willing to go the extra mile with a friendly demeanor and caring heart.

Hope House Foundation is currently hiring part-time employees to work evenings and weekends. Our support staff work directly with the people receiving services assisting with all activities of daily living. Support staff assist individuals with preparing their meals, maintaining their apartments, completing laundry, medical appointments, recreation and socialization, personal hygiene and any other tasks that the individuals may desire assistance. Hours available on weekdays are generally 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. shifts. We have various shifts open on the weekend in the mornings, afternoons, and evenings. Support staff are matched with a specific location/ team and develop a regular schedule with their supervisor. A one year commitment is preferred. Support staff must be able to work a minimum of two shifts per week plus attend a monthly team meeting. The hourly rate for this position is $10.67
